What Your Sales Manager Can See About Each Rep, and What They Cannot
Quick answer
In MAJ Leads the owner sees four things about each rep: the leads given to them, how fast they first replied, the results and notes they record, and whether alerts are on and when they were last in the app. The owner cannot read their WhatsApp chats or their phone's call history. Every rep can open this exact list.
Note
Why show a rep what the manager can see?
A tool that records when people tap Call and how fast they reply is a monitoring tool, whatever else it is, and reps know it. When the list is hidden, they guess, and the guess is usually wider than the truth. When the list is short and written down, the argument moves from "what are you watching?" to "is this fair?", which is the argument you want. That is a view of ours about how teams behave, not a finding, and we have no data on it.
There is a legal reason as well. A rep's reply times and recorded results are personal data about that person. Article 5 of the PDPL says personal data must be processed "in a fair, transparent and lawful manner", collected for "a specific and clear purpose", and "limited to the purpose for which the Processing is made." A written list of what is shown, and why, is the plainest way to meet the transparency part.
What can the owner see about a rep?
The rep's own page in MAJ Leads has a button, "What your manager can see", that opens the full list. The manager there is the owner of the workspace. As built in the Console on 5 November 2026, the list says they can see:
| What the owner sees | In plain words |
|---|---|
| Leads given to the rep | Which leads were given to them, and how many each week |
| First reply speed | How fast they first replied to each lead: the time they tapped Call or WhatsApp, or logged a result |
| Results and notes | The results they record (spoke, no answer, later, not interested) and any note they type |
| Reachability | Whether alerts are switched on for their phone, and when they were last in the app |
Two things to note about "first reply". It is the first logged touch, a tap on Call or WhatsApp or a recorded result, not a measurement of the call itself. And a bare tap is a signal that the rep started to act, not proof that the person was reached. Our guide to time to first attempt explains how to use the number without turning it into a weapon.
What can the owner not see?
| Not visible to the owner | Why |
|---|---|
| What a rep writes or receives in their own WhatsApp | MAJ Leads only opens WhatsApp for the rep. It cannot read their chats |
| The phone's call history, or anything outside the app | The app only knows what happens inside it |
| Another rep's numbers | A rep sees only their own, and never another rep's |
The WhatsApp point is worth a sentence. A rep's tap on WhatsApp opens a chat on their own phone. What follows happens in the WhatsApp app, outside MAJ Leads, so it is not recorded there. That is also a limit for you: the system will not show what a rep said to a lead on WhatsApp, so agree your own rules about that.
What do the reachability badges mean?
Reachability is the fourth item, and it is for the owner only. On the Team page each active person can carry up to three badges. They are about whether a lead can find the person, not about how they work.
| Badge | What it says to the owner |
|---|---|
| Push off | No phone or browser is set up for app alerts, so new leads will not buzz for them |
| WhatsApp not joined | They have not joined the WhatsApp alerts, so they only hear about leads inside the app |
| Away | Marked away, so new leads skip them, with the time they return if one was set |
With no badge, the owner sees a single calm "Reachable". The badges exist so that the first sign of a rep who cannot be reached is a setup fix on a Tuesday, not a lead nobody saw. If a badge keeps showing, help the person turn alerts on before you ask them why. Our guide to lead alerts without an app explains how a rep switches them on, and the one on an untouched lead shows what happens to a call when a rep is away.
Does the PDPL allow an owner to see this?
We cannot give you a legal answer. Here is what the text we read says. Article 2(2) lists what the law does not apply to: government data, personal data held by security and judicial authorities, a person's own data for personal purposes, regulated health and banking data, and free-zone companies under their own data laws. We found no carve-out for staff data. Article 4(8) lists, among the cases where processing without consent is lawful, processing "necessary for the Controller or Data Subject to fulfill his/her obligations and exercise his/her legally established rights in the field of employment", to the extent other laws allow it. Whether tracking reply speed falls inside that is a question for your lawyer, and an employment contract may say more. Free-zone companies should check their free zone's own law.
- Tell your reps before you switch the product on, and show them the list in their own app.
- Write down why you look at each of the four items. Reply speed is for coaching and fair lead handling. Reachability is for setup.
- Keep to those purposes. Do not start using the notes a rep types for something else.
- Give admin access to as few people as you can, because anyone with it sees the Team page.
Where does this leave your team?
Everyone can read the same short list: what the owner sees and what the owner does not. You decide how to use it. See how it works and pricing.

Time to First Attempt: The Only Sales Metric Your Reps Cannot Argue With
Ask a sales team how many calls they made this week and every rep has a defensible answer. Ask how long it took them to attempt each lead, and the number is sitting in a system, not in anyone's memory. That difference is the whole argument for a rep leaderboard built on time to first attempt.

Lead Alerts on a Rep's Phone With No App: How Web Push Works on iPhone and Android
Speed to lead starts with the rep knowing a lead exists. MAJ Leads sends that alert as a web push, so there is no app store step. This guide reads Apple's and MDN's documentation, shows what the alert contains and lists what can make a phone stay silent.
